Beta Terms
The short version
- The beta is free. It never turns into a paid subscription unless you choose to buy one later.
- It's pre-release software. Things may break, and data could be lost, so keep your own copy of anything important.
- You can leave at any time.
- This is software testing, not medical research.
1. About the beta
The MyVisitVault beta is a test of pre-release versions of the app, run by MyVisitVault LLC ("we", "us"). It is open to invited adults 18 and older in the United States. Test versions are delivered through Apple TestFlight or a Google Play testing track. These Beta Terms add to our Terms of Use and Privacy Notice. Where they differ, these Beta Terms apply to the beta.
2. Free access
- Beta access is free and is attached to your MyVisitVault account. It starts with two calendar months and is extended for as long as the beta continues.
- You won't be charged for beta access. It doesn't convert into a paid subscription. When paid plans start, you'll only pay if you actively choose a plan.
- Test versions of in-app purchases, if you see them, use the store's test system and don't charge you.
3. Pre-release software
- Beta versions may have bugs, change often, or stop working for a while.
- Data could be lost or damaged. Keep another copy of any records that matter to you. Don't rely on the beta as your only record of important care information.
- You may use it for your real caregiving if you choose, knowing these risks.
- We keep beta accounts and records when the beta ends; they aren't automatically deleted. You can delete your account at any time.
4. Feedback
We'd love to hear what works and what doesn't. Feedback is voluntary. Please don't include names, recordings or medical details of the people you care for unless we specifically ask and you choose to. We may use your feedback to improve MyVisitVault without owing you anything. Short surveys are optional.
5. Software testing, not research
The beta tests how well the app works. It isn't a clinical study or medical research, and it doesn't provide medical care or advice.
6. Beta emails
We'll email you about beta access, new test versions and important changes. We don't send marketing email unless you separately choose to receive it.
7. Leaving the beta
You can stop taking part at any time. Just stop using the test version, or email [email protected] to leave the tester list. Leaving doesn't delete your account or records; you can delete those separately. We may end the beta or your participation at any time. If we do, we'll tell you how to keep your records.
